I am Pastor Samuel, from erode district of India. When God called me to do ministry, I went to a bible college to study the bible and learn about ministry. After completing my bible college degree I came to my town to plant a Church. I tried to plant a church and I did not know how to start the church. While I was struggling a church planter from neighboring village told me about the training Raj was offering in Trichy. I joined the training.
Whatever they taught and showed us, I started doing the same thing in my place. I started sharing Jesus through my testimony and personal evangelism. The evangelism booklet provided by them was very useful to me. First I started a service in my house on Sunday evening and out of the 13 attended most of them are my family members. But after attending the third module on membership, God enabled us to baptize 7 people by Raj. Then we as a family started focusing on winning more people for Jesus. We were doing ministry all the 7 days and almost all the time winning people. By the time I finished all the 5 modules of training, 275 people attended the service.
Then I was given an opportunity to undergo the Purpose driven Training (PDT) to grow my Church. When I came to the training, raj told us that so for you have been doing ministry, but now you don’t do the ministry but train your people to do ministry. That really challenged me. I went back to my church and I shared with them what he told me. People got motivated and we fixed first and third Saturday as training day to train believers. 62 of them are trained as leaders and through them we have started 76 cell groups in different villages. Now 1500 people are attending the worship services. We are conducting 3 services on Sunday due to lack of space. 816 people have taken baptism so for.
The reason for the success is that we just applied what we were taught. Raj often used to say that the least of you will become thousand (Isaiah 60:21) and encouraged each one of us to have a church with 1000 people. he also used to say. you cannot do anything without God and God won’t do anything without you. That really motivated me to be God’s representative to focus on my village and the surrounding 121 villages, where we are doing ministry now. Even though we faced many persecutions and opposition from the fanatic caste Hindus, we overcame by prayers. As of now we have planted 26 branch churches. We are so thankful to raj and the training he is continually giving to our believers.
