This is brother Nagooran from Nagai district of Tamilnadu .He was born to pious Hindu parents. During the time of his birth his mother gave birth to twins, but unfortunately his brother died during the time of delivery. His neighbor Muslims thought that he too may die, so they asked his mother to name the baby after Nagoor Andavar (famous Muslim god dwells in his place) to save her son’s life. His mother without thinking about anything to save her son’s life, she named him after that god.
From childhood he was brought up in all Hindu traditions. Since his birth he was suffering from severe stomach ache. It is not an ordinary pain which many go through but an unbelievable severe pain. Always he used to carry the required medicines. When he was studying in the school along with this school books he will also carry the medicines. Because he doesn’t know at what time he may suffer by this pain he was unable to concentrate on his studies. In order to get healing from this sickness he and his mother worshipped many gods and they have visited many temples. They also performed many religious rituals like shaving their heads, walking in the bare foot, observing regular fast, paying many offering and sacrifices. But nothing cured him.
While he was in this agony, a pastor came to his neighbor’s house for prayer and their neighbor got healed through the prayer. By seeing this his mother requested the pastor to pray for his son, the pastor prayed for him and invited them to come his church for all night prayer. During the night prayer wonderfully God healed him from his 20 year old stomach pain.
His mother and Nagooran were overwhelmed with joy. This miracle led them to Christ. Immediately he started sharing his testimony and the gospel. He also started praying for the sick. Many got healed and came to know the LORD. At that time he doesn’t know how to lead the people further. When he was praying to God gave him a burden about starting a Church.
At that time he heard about our training on church planting and joined the training. This Training has helped him to establish a church and also God has transformed his own character. Now regularly thirty people attend the Sunday morning service. And thirteen of them have been baptized. He is also conducting 2 house Churches in two places. His vision is to establish TEN churches in nearby ten villages. He lives with his wife and one-Daughter We thank God for him and the ministry.
