This is Solomon Raja from Parankuntapuram in Tirunelveli district. He was born in a Christian family. Though he was born in a Christian family his parents didn’t have the born again experience. So he started his life as a nominal Christian.
His father was a farmer and a bonded brick worker. Because of that for six months the entire family would be with his father for brick work in Tiruvallur district. When the monsoon starts the family will return to their native village for agriculture work. Because of generation poverty, his father was depressed and become addicted to country liqueur and he died at the age of 40. Till his father’s death, they were in slavery. After his father's death his uncle rescued him.
This has affected his studies. Though he had great desire for studies, but he was unable to continue his studies and he has studied only third standard. After his father death he continued one more year in brick making, but he could not carry out. His mother advised him to learn a profession for survival. So he went to seek support from his relatives and friends but they deceived him, he was totally disappointed. At that time he got an opportunity to work in a tailoring shop and eventually he became a tailor. One of his customer shared the gospel with him through that he accepted Christ. Then he regularly started attending the church. He was filled with the love of God.
One of his another customer was doing ministry. he invited him, to go with him for ministry. When he saw the condition of the people it burdened his heart. For eight years he lived there and did the ministry, while continuing to do the tailoring work. Then God called him to do plant a Church in his native village. Even though he has shared the gospel he didn’t know how to plant a Church. One of his friend, who is a KGT graduate, introduced him about this training.
He says that, this training has helped him to know the importance of personal evangelism. Topic like, How to make friendship? How to make new contacts? How to lead them to Christ? has helped him to lead people many to Christ. So for he has formed 3 cell groups. Last month he has started Sunday worship service and now 19 people are attending the morning service. Last week God helped him to baptize 8 people. Now he has completed 3 modules of training. His desire is to establish a church with three thousand people. Once he was a slave, now he is free and releasing many from the darkness and ignorance. He is married and have a son. Kindly uphold him in your prayers.
